KUSKOVO – A shining example of a noble, eighteenth century summer residence and one of the most beautiful palace and park combinations remaining in the capital. It was owned by the Count's branch of the famous Sheremetev dynasty, the richest noble family in Russia. During its heyday (under Count Petr Borisovich Sheremetev), which coincided with the reign of Catherine the Great, it was the most magnificent estate in Moscow and one of the centers of European culture in Russia.
The "Summer entertainment Suburban House" was intended for sumptuous banquets and festivals and not just for noblemen but for commoners too. In the " VXIII century Kuskovo Manor” Museum, you’ll get a better ‘sense’ of the Russia of the more clearly than from anywhere else.
